Performances


 

In April of 2018, Connor was invited to Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall where he and Will Healy premiered Will’s composition Sonata, for saxophone and piano at Carnegie’s Abby Whiteside Foundation recital. This piece was commissioned by Connor and Novus New Music.

In February of 2018, Connor performed with the Lima Symphony Orchestra in Lima, Ohio as the winner of their National Young Artists Competition.

Early in December 2016, Connor traveled to The Juilliard School of Music in New York City to perform Speaking, composed by Will Healy. Will, a student of John Corigliano, was commissioned in 2015 by Connor James Mikula of Novus New Music, Inc., and the New Music Sessions of Cortona, Italy, to compose the piece featuring soprano saxophone and piano.

In early 2017, Connor released his first CD, Walking on the Ceiling, (Blue Griffin Recording) featuring Connor performing all newly commissioned works from composers who have collaborated with Novus over the last year.
